Miguel Ângelo trio (2025)
The Miguel Ângelo Trio is a project that explores the possibilities of improvised music as an extension of the compositional process, merging elements from various musical aesthetics and giving rise to new sounds and textures. Led by double bassist and composer Miguel Ângelo, the trio features Luís Ribeiro on guitar and Mário Costa on drums.
The repertoire consists of original compositions by Miguel Ângelo, which serve as a starting point for improvisation. Combining creativity, spontaneity, and deep musical empathy, the trio builds a sound with its own identity – strong, free, and unpretentious.
